Art & Prints made with hand-carved stamps and Love

Happy in black and white

  • October 23, 2018

Hello my friends!

Welcome back. Usually I prefer playful colors to plain black and white. But, there is always exceptions to our own rules, right?

I’ve been trying hard to get a hold of my niece, she’s a teenager, and I wanted to make a special print for her. On top of that, it made perfect sense, because she’s currently remodeling her room from when she was a kid, all in purple and emerald green.

Let’s say that the conversation about this topic was not very fluent, and I couldn’t figure out what...

Stamps with a Southern touch

Stamps with a Southern touch

  • October 19, 2018

Hey hey! Thanks for joining my adventures!

Today I’ll show you the fun process of actually making a stamp. It all starts with a sketch on a piece of paper, like this:

So, step #1 is to make your design. Sketch it on a piece of paper and then transfer the drawing to a tracing paper. Step #2 is to transfer the drawing from the tracing paper to the carving block. You can use your nails to transfer the drawing to the rubber, or a coin.

Make your place your own

  • October 16, 2018

Hi there! Welcome to my home!

Imagine you have guests this evening. How would you like your home to look? Of course, amazing! But most importantly, you’d love your guests to tell you they just feel “at home”, don’t you?

And how can we possibly create that experience? I agree, probably a couple of glasses of wine would help! No, seriously. It’s about home decoration!

My mom used to move around or change furniture and different objects all the time in the house (actually, she still does). I wondered what was the reason...

Nordic Inspiration

  • October 12, 2018

Hello my friends!

Did you know that before living in Washington, US, I lived for 5 years in Denmark?

Well, that’s exactly right! Denmark is such a surprising country.  I really enjoyed my stay there. That’s why, as soon as I learned of the existence of the Northwest Danish Association, I knew I wanted to share my experience with them.

So finally this month, their last 2018 quarterly newsletter (October thru December 2018) is here. Check out my article on the 10 things I truly love about Denmark. I dedicate it to my Danish...

Enjoy the journey

  • October 10, 2018

Hi there!

I’m so excited that you are here. Sometimes we are so worried about the outcome, that we forget one crucial point: enjoying our own way to get there!

I know, it might sound hard, having to deal with uncertainties, and not knowing exactly what to do next. You know what? That scares me too. But the truth is, we gotta believe in ourselves and get out there. Show the world what you have to say, loud and clear!

Well, as a little reminder to look ahead and be brave in life,...

Thinking of you week

Thinking of you week

  • September 27, 2018

What I like the most about social media is the fact that we all feel connected with the whole world. Interestingly, however, the invitation has been lately to step out of the cloud and become “more human”.

Such is the idea behind the #thinkingofyouweek, which I am loving being part of.

During 7 consecutive days, the proposal is to write and send one card each day to that person you’ve been thinking about.

I love the idea and hope you join the mood, you have time until Sept 30th… or just do it...
