Thankful
Hi there!
Happy to be back home. I mean, I haven’t traveled anywhere, but I was missing this special connection.
We are now past the Thanksgiving break, and, seems redundant but, I’m nothing but thankful! Today , my 6 year-old daughter, came up with these thoughts while having breakfast: “if we start our day by saying what we are grateful for, we will have a better day”. Couldn’t be more true!
I’m impressed by how much wisdom there is in such a young person, and, honestly, about how much we can learn from our little ones.
Feeling so inspired and proud of having the opportunity to share these little big moments in my life with you, is that I wanted to show you these new botanical stamps and the first print I’ve done with them.
This time I knew I wanted to use the word “Thankful” in advance, the question was, how to choose and print something lovely but not overcharged or distracting. What do you think about it? Of course there is some work to be done, but this first attempt looks satisfying to me.
Check out how I’ve used watercolor markers in different greens for the little leaves, while mixing different pink and purple colors with yellow for the flowers. I haven’t sprayed the stamp with water, though, so the colors stay brighter!
And remember, be thankful for every single moment you live, cherish those moments, and enjoy!
Have a wonderful week!
Love,
Mery
