A crafty Passover
Hey there!
I hope you had a meaningful Passover holiday! And, even if you don’t celebrate Passover, you can get inspired by this design to make your own greeting card or table tags.
To spark my own inspiration process, I looked up at the main Passover symbols, which are freedom, peace, effort, fighting for your rights… And then I looked inside of me, what it is that I like. My designs are always a combination of the shapes and objects that I like the most.
This is how I came up with the idea to make a new botanical stamp, an olive branch. This semi-circular stamp allows me to build a wreath, but in this case I chose to stamp only one side of the wreath and use it as a kind of frame, or structure to build the rest of the design from it:
This way, I had, from my own perspective, the right balance between graphics and the place for my words. But, what should those words be? I liked the classics, “Happy Passover” and “Happy Pesach”, but what about something else, something different!
That is how you see the set completed by the “Believe in Miracles” card, and lastly, the hope and wish that “Next year in Jerusalem” we will be there to celebrate.
And this is how I decorate my friend’s Pesach table, with more than 25 of these cute hand printed cards. Oh! And I also did the embossing for all of them. I totally recommend the glossy finish to give an extra special touch. You can find the video on my Instagram stories or on My Stamped World’s YouTube channel.
Come back soon to my blog to check out for new crafty projects!
